Dear Parents/Guardians of Linden Tree:
On behalf of the entire Linden Tree staff, I am writing to thank you for your engagement in planning the reopening of our school for the 2020-2021 academic year. We especially appreciate all those that were able to join our Virtual Family Town Hall with schools 106, 127 and Linden Tree on July 27, 2020, as these conversations provided us with important information and feedback we needed to make a reopening model selection that was right for our community.
Please note that there will be a shorter school day for students from 8:30-2:00 and that we will be continuing to use the Castle Hill entrances. We will open the doors at 8:15. Please be patient as we have to take every child’s temperature as they arrive in the building.
I would like to inform you that our school has selected Model 1A. Model 1A allows us to safely reopen the school building with two cohorts of in-person learning, plus a group of students whose family opted for full-time remote instruction. Each in-person group will either be in the building Tuesday/Thursday or Weds/Friday with alternating Mondays.
As of right now, the Mayor and Chancellor expect students to start school on Thursday, September 10th. That means that students in GROUP A will come on that day. Students in GROUP B will come on Friday, September 11th.
By August 26, we will inform you which group your child will be in. All siblings will be placed in the same group.
We will have a virtual PTA/Parent meeting on Wednesday, August 26th at 3:00pm in English and 4:00 in Spanish explaining all this information in great detail. Please join us with the following information. Meeting ID: meet.google.com/pwd-drrk-irx, Phone Numbers 1-307-463-1399, Pin 821-102 497#
